Recovering the Christian mind
When we think about, talk about the issues of the day, our response these days always seems to be one of rage. With the Paul Edwards Program, Paul’s goal is to ‘recover the Christian mind’ by taking on the day’s events and looking at the them from a Christian world view — absent the anger, the rage, the vitriol that’s become so normalized in American culture.
His guests represent a wide range of views — conservatives, liberal Christians — not to necessarily change anyone’s particular view, but to expose ideas that perhaps we’ve been insulated from and in that exposure explore and experience anew a sovereign God.
There are lots of issues and problems we deal with, but screaming about them on the radio doesn’t solve any of them. But those problems can be solved by and through a sovereign God and Paul wants to a be a voice for God prophetically, speaking into the pain and hurt and uncertainty that people have from a pastoral perspective to help them understand a sovereign God is in control of all of this.
